I also figured out how to preserve the etch a sketch picture so it would not erase. That was quite the process. First I tried simply drilling holes in the back to drain the powder inside that makes it erase. I just ended up with a big mess and a picture that would still erase. Finally I found a method that included completely taking the etch a sketch apart, dumping the powder, washing it clean, and removing the wires that control then knobs. So, after hours of work, I finally made my etch a sketch permanent. The only problem is, now I have no idea what to do with it.
